The Library is currently working with a consultant on a Facility Needs Assessment for SE Mesa. The consultant will help us determine if one or more branch libraries are needed in SE Mesa and determine the ideal size, configuration (regional library, neighborhood library, express library, or shared use), and possible location(s). Ms. Garvey has been analyzing demographic data and met with Development Services staff to gather current and future population growth trends. The library is concluding a public survey process and we’ve received over 450 surveys so far from residents who live around Mesa. In January there will be meetings with focus groups to provide additional feedback on what our residents need from a 21st century library.
